Junior Triathlon Training
The triathlon training programme will be focusing on preparing junior triathletes of all levels to participate in triathlons in the summer. The main aim is to introduce the sport in a fun & enjoyable way.
New term booking below starting 1st Feb for 13+ and 2nd Feb for 10-13s.
The programme will be working to develop open water swimming technique & specific open water skills such as stroke rate, sighting & drafting.
Running in parallel will be a freestyle technique session for the less experienced swimmers. This will be aimed and improving freestyle technique & fitness. Specifically working on breathing. alignment, catch and pull.
Dry land sessions will focus on swim specific mobility, strength & conditioning.
Note: We cannot cater for learn to swim (Facility Rules). Therefore you need to be able to swim a minimum of 2 lengths unassisted. Ideally you should take some swimming lessons if you can’t swim the required distance. With that in mind the sessions are open to anyone of any level.
