
Swimmers and Marshals at 2010 Swim Series Race at Rosses Point
Swimming can be a daunting leg of a triathlon for a lot of people new to the sport. It needn't be and we run lots of coached swim sessions to ensure this isn't the case.
In the winter and autumn it's pool sessions. These are a great way to get the technical side of things right and also build fitness. All abilities are catered for at these sessions so don't feel you're not ready to join in.
All pool swimming is in the regional sports complex under the guidance of our swim coaches Kyle, Cecilia, Sheila, Colm and Shane. The times are Tue 8am, Wed 10pm, Thur 8am, Fri 7pm, Sat 7pm & Sun 8pm.
We get into the sea come May typically, once September arrives, most people leave the open water swimming with the cold and short evenings being the main reason. We then run meet and train sessions which are not coached but we break off into smaller groups of even ability creating a safe encouraging environment.
